Review of Cyrus (2010) by Teejay P — 02 Mar 2011
To start, I don't like Jonah Hill...but he's not bad in this movie. There is a very good scene in this movie between he and Marisa Tomei, and John C. Reilly is strong like normal. I have a hard time calling this a dark comedy because the second half of the movie has very little humor (dark or light).
I expected a little more Rushmore like hijinx between Hill and Reilly's characters and it never happened (which in its unexpected nature was good).
