Review of Cyrus (2010) by Miguel A — 22 Dec 2011
I loved Cyrus, but I got to say that is a diferent comedy movie. Jonh C. Reilly is just hilarious in this movie like he was in Step Brothers, and speaking in Step Brothers, I think this movie has some similliar things with the story, is like the same type of movie.
Jonah Hill by the beginning of the movie I thought that once in for all, he was going to play a decent, funny and nice character, looks like I was wrong, but besides that, I think the rest of the cast was very well picked, such as Marisa Tomei, Catherine Keener and Matt Walsh.
This movie is about a guy who's divorced for seven years named Jonh (Reilly), but when his ex-wife Jamie (Keener) is now engaged to Tim (Walsh), he's invited to a celebration party, where he meets Molly (Tomei).
They now he schoulder and after a few days they start dating, but everything changes when Jonh meets Molly's son Cyrus (Hill), who will do everything to keep Jonh away from his mother and having her from him self.
I liked the story and I loved the movie, it's just very hilarious, specially Jonh C. Reilly, it's very entartaining, I will probably watch again, because this is comedy, and this is what a good comedy movie is.
Very recommended.
