Review of Cyrano de Bergerac (1990) by Uta R — 14 Jan 2008
Gerard Depardieu vastly exceeded my expectations in this incredible film. The screenplay is all very clever poetry, as is one of the themes of the film. A knowledge of French vastly increases your enjoyment of the movie, but is not essential to be fully absorbed by this beautiful, heroic and tragic story.
