Review of Cyrano de Bergerac (1990) by Sam P — 29 May 2008
Despite Steve Martin's desecration of the character in later years, I still love this movie. Cyrano is a classic character who takes the "hardcore"-ness that so many writers try to make their heroes and makes it look easy, and does it gracefully.
I mean, come on, he composes a sonnet about a swordfight as he is fighting the guy. That's hardcore.
