Review of Cypher (2002) by L S — 02 Jun 2011
30 minutes into a move and I wanted to stop - the plot is so convoluted, the acting so wooden and visuals so outdated if not just lazy. You can see the end a mile away and it is not a bad one but there is a one more twist in the eplogue that doesn't make sense and ruins it in the end.
The plus side is Lucy Liu and a dark gritty world of corporate esionage.
Oh, contrary to the title, there is no Cypher in the movie. The Impostor is slightly better and Duplicity has a worse story but better filmmaking.
