Review of Cypher (2002) by Ryan S — 18 Oct 2008
Very fun, idiosyncratic movie that occasionally verges on TV-movie cliché, but manages to hold itself together quite nicely. Jeremy Northam gives a very odd performance, and Lucy Liu showed promise in an early bar scene, but was disappointingly flat for the rest of the film.
Oh, and the special effects are awful, but I suppose you can't expect much with such a limited budget. Enjoyable overall.
