(2007) Cyborg Soldier.
SCIENCE- FICTION/ ACTION DRAMA.
Straight-to-rental cyborg flick which is not bad, with some decent acting from once known televison actress Tiffani Thiessen of Beverly Hills 90210 since this film showed some things I've never saw before on a cyborg film. Situation is, cyborg escapes from gov't facility whose supposed to be the perfect killing machine. He gets chased by men wearing black clothing, orders to kill, execute and faciliate. They're in turn, turn out to be the real bad guys making the cyborg itself to be sympathetic. As the film progresses then with the help of the cop held hostage played by Thiessen, after the rapport she pursues to finding out his origin. With the few action scenes it did have is nothing in comparison to the unique approach of this "cyborg genre" is more fascinating than anything else the film has to offer!
All I can say is that with a bigger budget, this film might've been better despite some of it's plot holes- they're are easily overlooked. Influenced by the likes of Termintor and the RoboCop films, this one does offer a different spin to it which is why it deserves a pass!
2.5 out of 4.
