Review of Cutthroat Island (1995) by Martyn I — 08 Dec 2009
Pretty much the same plot and locations as Pirates of The Caribbean - but done so much better by Depp and Co. For once, I am glad of the update. The action chase scene at the start isn't bad, but you can almost hear the director shout "Cut!", then "Action!" just before Geena Davis fights someone - which involves her lunging in the vague direction of someone, and them diving spectacularly, a la Didier Drogba.
