I am trying to be as objective as possible. First, there are no actual nude scenes, and the dancing although provocative in nature isn't all that risqué....well for an 18 year old....for an 11 year old, it's horrendous.

This movie is not about or for a young girl to grow through a shared experience with the protagonist. This movie is aimed at inattentive parents as it can lead to terrible lashing out and confusion for the young and growing children.

ALL THAT ASIDE. The dialogue is terrible, the acting is quite bad, the plot is ridiculous, and the story doesn't really lend itself a resolution and is just bad all over the place. This isn't a thought provoking movie, its needless and unnecessary on every level. I really don't understand why this was even allowed to air to be honest, but the sheer backlash from many is totally justifiable given that NONE of the provocative nature was ever needed to tell the story....just go watch thirteen instead of this crap if you're looking for a story and conversations.
