Review of Cut and Run (1985) by Juuso L — 11 Apr 2009
Ok, the plot might not make lot of sense. But then again, who would really expect it to make? Loopholes and general weaknesses of the story are neatly covered up by that well done directing by the maestro, Deodato. Cut and Run moves forward like a piece of shrapnel in your ass! A total, violent, jungle extravaganza. And I'm talking about unCut and Run of course - don't waste your time, or money, on short versions.
In addition, there is a cool cast (Richard Lynch, Michael Berryman, Eriq La Salle etc.) and that very atmospheric score by Simonetti.
With tighter plot this would be 5/5, but even now this is a way better movie than Cannibal Holocaust.
