Review of Curse of the Man Who Sees UFOs (2016) by Fred H — 17 Oct 2016
It's the compelling story of an eccentric UFO enthusiast who video tapes different light patterns in the night sky of Monterey, CA. He knows they're alien and trying to communicate with him. It's kind of two movies in one because it starts as a UFO mystery, then gets into more of the main character's life story.
It's reminiscent of Grizzly Man or American Movie in it's portrayal of the subject's ernest external desires exposing an inner existential crisis. The movie is heartfelt, hilarious, crass, crazy, weird, wild, and downright mysterious.
It's fun for the whole family, if you're family is cool with the f word and ufo defecation stories. I saw the movie at the Osio in Monterey, a location that is in the actual movie, and I loved it.
