Review of Curse of the Golden Flower (2006) by Chris S — 24 Sep 2008

I always found Chow Yun Fat annoying, and him playing a despicable villain in this film makes him more unlikable. This tragic film about family and power is something worth watching just because of the colors and visuals alone.

I have noticed that all of Zhang Yimou's wuxia films have sad endings with all of the protagonists having tragic deaths and the antagonists still alive.
