Gong Li once again proves that she is China's one and only dragon queen as she tries to blind you with her elaborate Tang dynasty ensemble while exchanging lethal stares with Chow Yun Fat. This movie marks her most recent reunion with Chinese visionary director Zhang Yimou, who also happens to be her ex-flame.
The plot is thick with war, deceit, and domestic politics. Gallons after gallons of blood are shed and you'll be left asking for more intrigue and court drama. Welcome to Tang dynasty's China.
