The ultimate garish costumes collection, in my opinion. One can get blinded by all that glitters. Well, do not expect any less from the ambitious and famed Chinese director Zhang Yi Mou. Set in China during the Tang Dynasty of the 10th Century.
The royal family here is one messed-up family unit. This film has incredibly melodramatic stuff; Patricide, adultery,incest and murder.Curse of the Golden Flower is a spectacle,but still it is incredibly boring.
