Review of Curse of the Golden Flower (2006) by Nicola B — 01 Jul 2008
Visually beautiful, full of gorgeous sets, costumes and scenery. The battle scenes are amazing, unfortunatly, this gets let down by a slow progressing plot and the subtitles are very quick flowing, very small and half the time, they are on the shot, making them really hard to read, so you miss half the story.
The last 25 minutes of this film make up for it. Good fight scene, good performances but House of Flying Daggers was much better!
