Review of Curse of the Golden Flower (2006) by Géraldine G — 15 Aug 2008
An Excellent piece of art from writer director Yimou Zhang. It has all the three C's you would expect from his previous work, Characters, Color, and Choreography. It's better than Hero, but not as good as House of Flying Daggers.
I loved the choice of weapontry and the acrobatics involved. It seemed like less wire work and not as many farfetched ideas like running in trees and swatting away swarms of arrows with the swing of a sword.
