Review of Curse of the Golden Flower (2006) by Godwin F — 07 Apr 2010
Not quite to the standard Yi has set up for himself in Hero and The House of Flying Dagger. Maybe he fell in love a bit too much with the elaborate sets, which gets tiresome and soap-operaish as the film drags on, and all the extras he was able to hire.
While Chow and Gong were both good, there are a few miscast I (for example Jay Chou) I believe.
