Review of Curse of the Golden Flower (2006) by Henrik J — 02 Jan 2009
Taken features a highly competent secret agent type father who rescues his hot daughter from some super baddie Arabs and Euro-thugs. The subject of sexual slavery could have been handled much better, but that is really just an excuse for some running around and action type stuff.

Curse of the Golden Flower follows the crumbling family of an Emperor amid some truly outstanding set and costume pieces that cause it to rise above some forays into annoying wire-fu.
I would say that people should have an affinity for Asian cinema before watching, and my enjoyment possibly could have been dimished for watching a dubbed version.
