Review of Curse of Chucky (2013) by Kristopher N — 09 Oct 2013
Unlike the over the top and insanely not funny move that both Bride and Seed of Chucky made, this one was actually a refreshing change. New horror movies, especially sequels and reboots(I think this is almost both in a way), come off as insistful and arrogant, like the Texas Chainsaw remake and sequels, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street. They tried too hard for the same movie, but with a whole different ensemble and crew. This one actually gets back to its roots, with Mancini and Dourif coming back and giving us a nice and interesting end to the series. If you dont know what I mean, watch the after the credit sequence.
All in all, I give it 4 our of 5, because it genuinely scared me at some points, and left me wondering what was going to happen are the next turn.
