Surprise, Surprise! After the release of two horrible Child's Play sequels(Bride Of Chucky and Seed Of Chucky)Curse Of Chucky the latest installment in the Child's Play series and the first to be released Direct to DVD is the best sequel in the Child's Play series since Child's Play 2.

Curse Of Chucky ignores the events of Bride Of Chucky and Seed Of Chucky and acts as a direct continuation to Child's Play 3 where Nica a paralyzed girl receives a package that contains Chucky the killer doll.

After her mother's death Nica's sister and her husband and daughter along with their nanny arrive to help Nica about what happened to her mother. But soon Nica also learns that her mother's death wasn't just an accident she soon learns that her mother's death is caused by Chucky who has plans to kill everyone in the house including her as well.

To be honest I love Curse Of Chucky seriously this is the best sequel in the Child's Play series since Child's Play 2 I mean it. This film seriously did a fantastic job in bringing Chucky back to his scary roots rather than being funny.

Everything about this movie is super scary and the whole movie is darker and grittier than the early Child's Play films and the movie not only acts as a sequel but it also has a lot of reboot elements.

One of the biggest highlights of this film is that the movie is extremely suspenceful from start to finish and there are loads of suspenceful and intense scenes in the film(Chucky putting Rat poison in one of the Chilis, Nica's sister's death, Jill's death and the finale which is very dark in the movie)plus the movie also has a haunting atmosphere that gives the film a very dark look,, the kills are extreme and bloodier than in the early Child's Play films and kudos also to the soundtrack composed by the great Joseph Loduca(The Evil Dead trilogy)it managed to give the film a very dark feel.

But the biggest highlight of this movie is Chucky. The stitched face of Chucky seriously fits well in this movie and I love how Chucky is darker and scarier than before and the stitched face seriously fits well for this movie not in Bride Of Chucky and Seed Of Chucky because the stitched face emphasize more fear for this kind of film and I love that idea a lot.

Now the acting is great Brad Dourif seriously managed to improve his performance as Chucky and I love how his character is given a backstory that takes place before the events of the first Child's Play and his character is much more frightening than ever.

Brad Dourif's daughter Fiona Dourif did a fantastic job with her work in the film as Nica while the rest of the casts did a fantastic job with their work in the film so far. Director, Writer and series creator Don Mancini did a fantastic job with his work in this movie and I seriously adore his work a lot in this film a lot and I can't wait for what he will do next with the next Child's Play movie in the future.

Overall Curse Of Chucky is the best sequel in the Child's Play series since Child's Play 2. This movie gets a 10/10.
