Review of Curse of Chucky (2013) by Shane Z — 26 Nov 2013
This was one title I was pretty excited for this year after I heard a meeting about the film from the creator of the series, Don Mancini, and it's about time to see a new Chucky movie after almost 10 years.
"Curse of Chucky" has been getting critical praise and being one of the best entry's in the series and it is. We were suppose to get a remake originally, but Mancini decided to work on one more sequel first before a remake.
All of us fans and critics just want another scary Chucky like the first three, not a comedy like bride of Chucky and the disappointing Seed of Chucky, but "Curse of Chucky" gives us horror, not comedy.
Charles Lee Ray/Chucky (Brad Dourif) goes to a house where he knows a family he's known 25 years ago and get revenge on them. This is what we should of got along time ago, either the fourth and fifth didn't have to be made or never made a fifth.
"Curse of Chucky" isn't a perfect entry in the franchise, it's kinda sloppy a little bit but its good enough to be a good entry in the series. Its probably going to be the last Chucky were going to see in the original series so be ready for a remake.
