Review of Curse of Chucky (2013) by Brett H — 28 Jun 2016

Not sure why every horror franchise has to keep going far after they're relevant, but alas, Chucky returns. It starts out well enough and completely ditches the camp from the last two entries, but the clear lack of budget and inability to recreate the look and quality kills of Chucky are soon apparent.

Seriously, this doll looks like Chucky's retarded, half-brother and the cg over animatronics is just sad. The film does get sort of cool towards the end with some revelations, but they're clearly after-thoughts and if you know the franchise, you'll realize they don't work.

Good effort, but a complete waste of time and not the least-bit scary.
