Review of Curse of Chucky (2013) by Jay B — 29 Mar 2014

What begins as a huge leap in the proper direction quickly steers itself toward very familiar ground. The first several minutes play out beautifully. Well shot with masterful camera work... then the first severed head gets lopped off.

:/ It's not long before eye stabbings, horrid CGI and unrealistic kills make this sequel just another goofy notch on the headboard. Add a guest spot from Tilly and some newly revealed back story that makes little difference and you're left with another heap of the same.

All that said, I still have a soft spot for the lil fucker :)... it's the best since the original trilogy graced our screens.
