Review of Curse of Chucky (2013) by Wesley C — 21 Aug 2015

Surprisingly an excellent film which brings the franchise back to life and doesn't seem to follow the typical Hollywood horror tripes. Jump scares never work for me, I much prefer tension and the things you don't see which is another bonus here.

All the actors do a fine job and don't go overboard. The Chucky doll is finely made and not a Cgi knock off. My only gripe with the film is the seemingly selective weather! There's lightening every 5 seconds then it stops and starts.
