Review of Curly Sue (1991) by Alexandria J — 10 Jun 2014
Look at the cover! Cute isn't it? So you think it's going to be a pretty good film?
Well, it's not. And there are many reasons why! The small 9-year-old girl who appears to be sweet, has a Mary-Kate and Ashley voice, and even cutesy is a precocious child who, which appears tries too hard to be as good as Culkin's character in "Home Alone". She is not likable. It's just an unbearable cutesy film that is like Shirley Temple's "Curly Top" but has failed to be a good movie. The characters are quite cheesy, the direction is horrible. Porter did a pretty good job on her character, though none of the movie was funny.
Sue was an annoying character. And in the car accident scene, Why did Sue have to cry and say that she killed her father? She could've at least wait until he was okay before she welled up.
