Review of Curious George (2006) by Gabino T — 08 Feb 2008

Cute as hell. I thought I'd get tired of the "cute-George" moments, but they were never tiresome, even when he had done something to screw Ted over. I think my favourite part of the film was the soundtrack (huge Jack Johnson fan). Something about the music in the film was so much better than just listening to the album.

My only complaint is that it felt too rushed. An 88-minute movie that could have been extended by 10 minutes to make for a little better pacing. I'm still of the opinion that Drew Barrymore should really, really not voice-act, and Will Ferrell was okay. He's funny when you watch him, not when you hear him, so this did not play to his strengths.
