Review of Cure (1997) by Jean V — 05 Sep 2009
Very disorienting thriller. A detective is perplexed by a series of murders around Tokyo, all with the same MO but different perps who remember everything they did but not why they did it, only that it 'felt like the natural thing to do' at the time.
The only common thread is an amnesiac. Definitely demands repeat viewings. Koji Yakusho in the lead is very good (you might know him from 'Shall We Dance?', 'Babel', or 'Memoirs of a Geisha').
