Review of Cult of Chucky (2017) by Sebastian K — 31 Oct 2017
What a truly riveting and unique masterpiece that breathes life back into Chucky's cinematic life. Loyal fans were rewarded for their knowledge of the prior films while new Chuck-atics have fallen in love with Charles Lee Ray the same way Tiff did all those years ago.
It brought me great pleasure to see that the team handling Chucky's seventh appearance in the Child's Play series knew who he was and were able to emphasize his most recognizable qualities. The film decided to go for a darker look at Chucky, though and therefore limits his humorous stamp of sarcasm.
All things said and done, if you are on the fence of seeing this movie, just watch it and be taken into the future of the infamous killer doll.
