Review of Cujo (1983) by Alex L — 19 Sep 2010

Cujo is a Stephen King Novel based on the same name. It's basically Stephen King's take on Beethoven. Its about this St. Bernard named Cujo who gets bit by a bat and gets rabbis. At first he's calm but soon he will unleash the beast inside him! The owners of this dog are going on vacation except the dad has to go somewhere else or something I don't remember, so they ask there friends the Trentons to watch Cujo but when they get they get there (the mother and her son) there the car battery dies and Cujo keeping them held into the car as he destroys it.

There's also a story on the Father on how his company made some cereal that does something to kids but you don't care about that.

I'm just gonna say it I really didn't like Cujo, I was incredibly bored during it, it was scary for people under 12, there was no suspense if you've seen many horror movies before where the monster is kill able you'll know what will happen, and the characters were just stupid.

This one scene where mother and son are stuck in the car, the car finally works they start driving for 5 seconds the mom stops the car right next to the dog and pauses and stays "Fu*K you dog," and a second later the cars battery dies again. Why wouldn't she drive away the cars battery was next to dead and her 6 or 7 year old son is scared to death, was it worth it by the end if the movie he's dieing for dehydration and almost swallows his tongue TWICE!

And I just didn't feel like she was scared when Cujo attacked her and the car, I have to admit Cujo looked just creepy I mean if I saw a dog that's wet, dirty, mouth covered in blood and I think mustard on his mouth some yellow thing I'd freak out from just looking at him.

Overall I really didn't like Cujo if you want to see a movie where people are trapped by a Ferocious beast go see Rouge.
