Review of Cube 2: Hypercube (2002) by Peter R — 08 Dec 2007
Really a re-hashing of the original Cube that ended up being extremely schlocky-feeling.
The only true joy I got out of this movie was picking out the Canadian actors that I had seen before: Bruce Gray who has been seen in "Starship Troopers", "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", and was a star in the under-rated show "Traders"; Neil Crone whom Canadians will have seen at least once in a crappy CBC show or commercial; Geraint Wyn Davies who, although born in Wales, is best remembered at that vampire-cop from "Forever Knight"; and Kari Matchett who was actually enjoyable in "Men With Brooms" as the bitchy, commanding wife.
I would only recommend this to (a) stoners who haven't seen the first one, (b) people I don't like, or (c) people who enjoy the sense of scheisse in cinema.
