Review of Cube 2: Hypercube (2002) by Nikolaj Z — 12 Oct 2007
"The first one had RULES!!" - The last movie, I wasn't sure whether the actors were good or not. In this film, the actors try too hard and their dialogue sounds forced. There is also way too much fast paced emotions, if that makes any sense.
However, when I first watched the film, I thoroughly enjoyed the ideas and theories behind parallel realities/universes and variable time rooms. After a second or third viewing, though, it's just kind of boring.
And the fact that this film tries to hint at why there is a cube in the first place just ruins the experience for me; it pretty much takes the X-Files route and gives you some information but not what you want to know.
All in all, you're probably just better off watching the discovery/science channel or something, if you're interested in that kind of stuff.
