Review of Cube 2: Hypercube (2002) by Richard T — 04 Jan 2008
This one wasn't as bad as "Cube Zero", which if you read my reviews is a piece of junk, but it was a lot more confusing. I didn't really understand the motive or anything behind putting people in this "Hypercube" so I just assumed that there wasn't one.
This I thought was pretty dumb. The acting was bad, the story was pretty bad, but bearable, and the twists almost made no sense. I mean I understood them, I just didn't understand why they were in there in the first place.
To top all this off, there is THE most random sex scene in the history of cinema in this film. It was very excrutiating to watch. Oh and please lay off the slow-mo. It is useless now-a-days. There is way too much of it in this one to even bear at times.
I guess they had to make it longer or something, I don't know. There were, however a couple cool death scenes. That is the only reason why I gave this two stars. Otherwise, dumb with a capital DUMB.
