Review of Cube 2: Hypercube (2002) by Casey M — 23 Feb 2008
I'd kept my distance from the cube sequels as the original was the kind of movie that is very often abused badly in sequels. Nevertheless I heard some praise about this and Cube Zero and thought they might be worth checking out after all.
This was to some extent. Basically this was a repeat of the first. There's stupid pseudo-science ideas about hypercube and various dimensional oddities that I really didn't like. The traps seemed especially stupid and boring.
On the other hand the group dynamics worked pretty nicely. I especially liked the guy, who goes crazy and collects stuff from the various incarnations of others in the cube.
