Less satisfying than the original, though the second "Cube" film does bring a certain charm to the proceedings that even its predecessor lacked.
"Hypercube" focuses more on the science fiction elements than the first entry in the series, with more time spent exploring the spatial-temporal implications of time spent in the Cube. Less attention is given to the characters - to the movie's detriment - but "Hypercube" makes up for the absence of strong writing with interesting, unique visuals. The entire film is shot in blinding white rooms (in contrast to the original's dark, claustrophobic interiors), demonstrating that this "Cube" movie is more devoted to matters of the mind than matters between mere humans.
