Review of Cube (1998) by Alice S — 28 May 2011
Interesting and exciting, sadly it has too many flaws.
It probably works best as a metaphore of life itself as a test of humanity or something [in this view, even the question from the prequel, "Do you believe in God?", makes a little sense].
I liked the scene where Rennes was teaching everyone how to always look right in front of them, and then he looked ahead only to find the unexpected. As they say, life's a tough teacher. Tests come first and then hopefully we learn the lesson.
