Review of Cuban Fury (2014) by Mitchell B — 08 Apr 2014
Sadly the most fitting description I can give to this Strictly Ballroom wannabe is "a gentle comedy". Then, again, having never seen Strictly Ballroom, maybe that's an unfair comparison. There are a few laughs here and there but mostly it's just appreciative smiles and smirks. The biggest drawcard was probably Kayvan Novak (aka the Fone/Facejacker) in a deliciously flamboyant supporting role. And Chris O'Dowd is worryingly effective as the sleazy antagonist.
I would definitely recommend seeing it... if you've recorded it on MySky and need to free up some space.
