Review of Cuban Fury (2014) by Campbell P — 29 Jan 2016
I found Cuban Fury to be quite likable! Nick Frost is very likable and funny as Bruce, a 30 year old who gave up his passion of salsa dancing after a group of kids beat him up for dressing girly and made him eat his sequins.
After meeting Julia his new boss at work he decides to woo her by taking salsa back up after he finds out she does salsa too. There are many things to like about this movie like the cast for example. Every character in this movie I liked even Drew.
They all had equally funny lines which draws me to my next plus about this movie. I feel that in this type of movie it had the right amount of humor to keep me satisfied (even if he's not Ed from Shaun of the Dead).
I really enjoyed how much he worked for the girl he likes and you actually believed that he really did do all that work to get where he did. His journey on his way to salsa greatness once again was fun to watch.
I also likes how they didn't kiss or anything because lets face it, that'd be really cheesy. The one complaint I had was of how abruptly the movie ended. It kinda left me hanging as the credits started like "That's it?".
Overall Cuban Fury was a good enough comedy to watch multiple times. B-.
