Review of Cthulhu (2008) by Dan B — 11 May 2009
Y'know what, I really, really liked this. It's definitely, severely flawed; I respectfully submit that maybe trying to shoehorn Lovecraft into a political allegory about international apocalypse AND a city-gay-in-a-small-town family drama is asking too much of the source text.
That said, it looked amazing, it was creepy as hell, and it had a fantastically disjointed, lazy pacing that suited me just fine. And here's another thing I'm just gonna say, and you can all suck it: Tori Spelling wasn't half bad.
