Not as good as The Mule. The basic story is very similar to Liam Neeson movie The Marksman. It feels like the main character of the washed-up cowboy should be around 50 to 55 years old. But Clint Eastwood is 90+ and so the scenes where women are swooning over him are a bit ludicrous.
With The Mule, Clint’s age worked for the story (old grandpa as drug runner) but in Cry Macho his age works against the material.
