Cry Macho is far from being the next classic Eastwood film. While I do think there is sketching to the story itself, the film never really comes together. Eastwood more than shows his age with the film and the film suffers from it.
Not to mention the less than spectacular performance from Eastwood’s young co-Star. Perhaps with a younger more believable lead and a better young actor the film could have been something special. But for me - it was a miss.
Feel free to watch the film on HBO Max, don’t waste your time going to the theater for this one.
