Review of Cry-Baby (1990) by Dakota S — 10 Mar 2009
Made during Jon Waters' four picture run of "mainstream" efforts (which also brought us the subtle, brilliant "Hairspray," the funny dark comedy "Serial Mom" and the proto-indie "Pecker").
This one sort of misses its mark in tone. It's by no means a bad movie, but it sometimes loses sight of parody and becomes emulation. Whatever, watchable.
