Review of Crumb (1995) by Patrick P — 27 Jun 2007
I am not a huge fan of documentaries. They are either really good or largely forgettable.
"Crumb," Terry Zwigoff's first stab at cinema, is an example of a good documentary. Almost too good sometimes.
Crumb comes by his creepy weirdness honestly. His entire family seems like a freak show... and maybe they are. Zwigoff does a great job of maintaining objectivity while being in the midst of these people. Some of whom are arguably mad geniuses (Crumb himself), others are just mad (his whole family).
Watch this with loved ones. Haha!
