Review of Cruel Intentions 2 (2000) by Michelle P — 12 Nov 2007
Horribly unoriginal. The same lines from the first movie are used. Sebastian is portrayed as a geek half the time instead of a ladies man. It could have been a really good movie, the premise was interesting.
It is set a few years before the first movie, backtracking to show when Sebastian and Katherine first meet and Sebastian joins Manchester Prep. Again he is going after the Headmaster's daughter and Katherine is plotting to make an innocent girl into the "premiere slut of Manchester Prep.
" Amy Adams could have been good if she had original lines to say, but she does her best. Although Sarah Thompson looks more like Sarah Michelle Gellar did in the first one. Mimi Rogers is too good to be in this movie but she makes it work.
Keri Lynn Pratt is type cast again, playing the ditsy, almost annoying blonde. Selma Blair does it better. The end leads well into the previous movie and has a nice twist but as a whole it gives me no 'intention' to watch the third.
