So I guess this is supposed to be sort of a "Beginning" version of the first. What I didn't like starts with repitition of not only key plot points but also exact lines from the first film.

While the first offered a kind of super seduction based on guilty pleasures... this movie straight up leaves nothing to imagination. Which, in a sense, is fun... but at the same time, it seems like it was just trying way too hard.

They couldn't copy the first exactly, so the writer and Roger Kumble tried to beat it. In my opinion, it was too over-the-top to be a good movie. However, it entertained me on a boring evening of procrastination, which is something.
