Review of Cruel Intentions (1999) by Adam B — 20 Jun 2010
Reminded me of the crappy American soaps you get on E4 such as Gossip Girl and Desperate Housewives. This was just a tiny bit more bare able. The kids (or were they adults?! )seem to have more money than sense.
Each character is exaggerated so much it just gets ridiculous. Ryan Philleppe started off playing one character, then seemed to get confused and started to play someone else and altogether the whole film just got pretty stupid.
It started off quite intriguing, but quickly got very dull, and anything that reminds me of the likes of Gossip Girl and all that rubbish, I'm not going to give much time to change my opinion of it.
