Review of Croupier (1998) by Brett L — 17 Feb 2008
A film with lots of promise that often misses it chance to deliver. Clive Owen's performance of a disaffected card dealer and writer is exceptional ( proving he came a long way since acting in Wing Commander) but the overarching plot seemed completely different in tone from the rest of the film.
Still it's good to have a casino move from the other side of the table for once.
