Review of Croupier (1998) by Tibor B — 25 Feb 2008
Clive Owen is a perfect fit as the icily detached writer/croupier in this cold and cynical neo-noir set in the London gambling world. I appreciated the film for it's appropriately seedy atmosphere and interesting voiceover narrative technique, but like its anti-hero, there wasn't much beyond a cold, intellectual appreciation to truly like about it.
