Review of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) by Aaron F — 24 Jun 2010
The fight scenes are nothing short of incredible. Beautiful choreography and lots of stylized, martial arts goodness. Mr. Daulton would have a horrible time with the physics of the movie...but as the director said, the moves are more about expression, more a dance than a fight.
The story line is laced with drama, betrayal, and, of course, love. The characters are three-dimensional, and you'll learn to love and hate them as the film calls for it. But, please, always hate the governor's daughter.
She's an annoying brat.
