Review of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) by Brian K — 31 Dec 2012
Ang Lee's most inspirational and nostalgic art piece, allowing the wuxia style to reach its maximum expression through a stunning choreography by Yuen Woo-ping and a fantastic cinematography, and permitting Hong Kong to briefly recover its golden days. Oddly, its jaw-dropping power has lost its effect in today's masses more than 10 years later; nevertheless, there are some few of us that still appreciate its grand romantic and breathtaking qualities.
97/100.
