Review of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) by Matthew F. J — 27 Jan 2015

This is a very interesting film shot by a master behind a camera. Ang Lee goes back to his roots with this beautiful legend/ story about martial arts in the ancestral times. Wonderfully shot and beautifully choreographed, this film is a jewel coming from Asia.

The cast is wonderful, the action scenes are breathtaking and the scenery and cinematography are beyond gorgeous. By now this film has entered cult status and if you ever wonder why people refer to it often in conversations, do yourself a favor, watch it.

It's very different from the western type of films but it's a fantastic journey into past and oriental culture.
